Spring has sprung in the Southern states of Australia, and as we pull out of our winter slumber of too much pasta and red wine and decide we need to increase the gym visits, we can also have an awakening of another kind.
I’m talking about finding the time and space to start something new in our business. I speak to a lot of business owners and I find through the cooler months, and especially for Hospitality and Tourism businesses, that generally they see a slight downturn and often new business planning, marketing and event activations are put on the backburner.
People in general are less energised during the cooler months, the days are shorter, it’s cold and it can be hard to get creative and drive your business forward. I get it, and I’ve spoken to so many people in recent weeks who have been feeling a little, well …… Mehhh.
But spring is that perfect opportunity to start something new, to set new goals, to plan new marketing activities, or to change up systems and procedures. It’s a great time to start something fresh, and just like doing a spring clean of your home, a spring clean of your business can do wonders.
So, take some time out to plan for the next six months. What do you want to achieve, where would you like your business to be, and how does that look and feel for you?
Get re-energised by taking the time to plan, to create, to dream, and to eventually do. It can do wonders for putting you back on track and getting your mojo back.
We all get stuck in the day to day, but now is the time to get a little action plan in place and start a fresh.
